The administration has mandated use of masks in markets, malls and similar public spaces in Gurugram. The decision comes in wake of increased Covid positivity rate, which has risen to 11 per cent.

In the city, reporting an average of 150 cases daily, the number of active cases has crossed 1,000. The administration has sounded an alert, asking people not to ignore Covid precautions. Hospitals have been asked to be on high alert and make arrangements for Covid wards. They have also been asked to ensure optimum oxygen supply. A review of oxygen plants has been ordered.
