The event was also attended by PGIMS Medical Superintendent Dr Kundan Mittal and Dr Kuldeep Singh Lallar, Head of Cardiology Department, while PGIMS Director Dr SK Singhal participated online. Dr Aggarwal addressed the gathering, stating, “The UHS and PGIMS employees spend most of their time in the hospital. Many of our employees and their partners are also working, which makes it challenging to care for their children at home. To address this issue, we have established a creche on the campus. Since most of the nursing staff are women, they can now leave their children here for care during working hours.”

He announced that the creche would operate from 9 am to 5 pm and is equipped with heaters in all four rooms of Bal Sadan. A park has also been set up outside the rooms for additional recreation. Regarding the waiting hall for patients’ attendants, Dr Aggarwal shared that it spanned 2,143 sq m and had been constructed at a cost of ₹57.56 lakh. “The waiting hall includes toilets, a storeroom, potable water, round-the-clock electricity and benches, ensuring that attendants have a comfortable space to rest and stay overnight, if needed,” he added.

Dr Kundan Mittal remarked that the establishment of ‘Bal Sadan’ served as a New Year gift from Dr HK Aggarwal to the UHS and PGIMS employees, fulfilling their longstanding demand for a creche. He further noted that the District Child Welfare Council, Rohtak, has appointed one teacher, two caretakers and one sweeper for Bal Sadan.
