Om Prakash Godara, Joint Director, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, reached Rohtak today on a two-day visit to inspect crop-cutting experiments in villages of the district under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).
Godara directed officials to do their work carefully as the average yield of each village would be decided on its basis. Deputy Director (Agriculture) Surender Singh said employees of the department had been assigned duties regarding the conduct of crop-cutting experiments for paddy, cotton, millet and maize.It was aimed at ensuring accuracy in the experiment and collection of data so that the average yield of the district could be calculated correctly.
