Daughter-in-law killed over land dispute in Karnal
Karnal, June 9
A 45-year-old woman was shot dead allegedly during an altercation between her husband and father-in-law in Dabri village in the district on Tuesday night. The police have arrested the father-in-law.
The deceased has been identified as Kuljinder Kaur, while her father-in-law Mahender Singh is the accused.
As per the police, the incident took place after an argument between the father and son over the land dispute.
In his complaint, Amarjeet Singh, husband of the deceased, said he was living separately from his father and brother. They had a dispute over the possession of 4 acres of land, which was owned by his father.
A case has been registered in this regard. — TNS
