Day after targeting party, Vij spends time with supporters
A day after targeting his party, the BJP, Cabinet minister Anil Vij was seen spending time with his supporters at a tea point, singing songs, and holding routine visits and meetings at the Cantonment here on Saturday.
He refused to comment on his post on ‘X’, in which he accused some leaders of running a parallel BJP in the Cantonment with the blessings of those at the top.
Reviewing the cleaning process at the industrial area, Vij directed officials to set up a temporary war room until normalcy was restored.
The Industrial Area witnessed severe waterlogging due to the overflowing Tangri, causing losses to unit owners. The river has left a huge amount of mud and sludge, causing inconvenience to industrialists.
During his visit, Vij ordered an intensive cleaning campaign and large-scale spraying of disinfectants. He also announced a five-member committee to improve infrastructure and services. The committee will work in coordination with the departments concerned to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
The war room, to be set up in a factory unit, will include officials from the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), Public Health Engineering and Energy departments, Municipal Council, and police.
