A day after some youths raised anti-BJP slogans at Gehli village, BJP outgoing MLA from Nangal Choudhary Dr Abhe Singh Yadav, who is in the fray for the third time, faced questions at Koriavaas village on Thursday.

In fact, Yadav reached Koriavaas to address a poll meeting. When the meeting was in progress, a youth took the mic and began questioning the MLA who was sitting on the dais at that time. He also raised questions over the BJP’s claim of development in the Nangal Choudhary area.

Interestingly, Yadav and other BJP leaders listened to the youth patiently. Later, the BJP candidate enumerated the development works undertaken in the Assembly constituency during his tenure in the past decade.

“Why should we vote for BJP? The BJP government has failed to fill a large number of vacant posts during its tenure but blames the Congress party by describing it as ‘Bharti Roko Gang’. It is beyond understanding why the BJP did not fill all posts when it ruled both places at the Centre and in the state,” said the youth.

Thereafter, he raised the question of government medical college that was established in Koriawas village stating that as per the state government’s decision one medical college was to be setup in Mahendragarh district hence it was built in Koriavaas, but the condition of the district was still the same as it was 10 years ago.

After a couple of minutes, Yadav got up from his seat and tried to take the mic from the youth to answer his question but the latter continued to hold it. Later, some villagers got up and snatched the mic from him stating that now it was the time for Yadav to present his point of views. Then the MLA told the gathering what he had done in the past decade for the development of his constituency.

“The incident was politically motivated. The youth was projected by opposition parties with an intention to malign my image and to disrupt the poll meeting but he could not succeed as the villagers accorded me a warm welcome and also assured that would vote and support me. The youth’s question about the recruitment was illogical as it is sub-judice but I responded to all his questions and also enumerated a large number of development works I have got done in Nangal Choudhary,” Yadav told ‘The Tribune’.

Notably, two-time MLA Abhey Singh Yadav is also serving as Irrigation Minister in the Cabinet of Nayab Singh Saini. The Congress has fielded Manju Choudhary against him from Nangal Choudhary located on the border of Haryana and Rajasthan.
