DC holds meeting with officials to make Yamunanagar, Jagadhri model cities
Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta held a meeting with officials of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), Public Works Department (PWD), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Haryana State Marketing Board and other related departments and directed them to work to develop twin cities as model cities.
He said special attention should be paid for cleanliness of parks, stadiums, toilets and other public places located in both cities.
“Jagadhri and Yamunanagar should be beautified through art and culture, painting and pots. Cameras should be installed at public places,” said Gupta.
He also directed the officials to repair the highways and roads passing through both cities and to make arrangements for proper lighting.
He instructed them that special arrangements of cleanliness should also be made in residential areas and regular cleaning should be done.
“Selfie points should be made in both cities. The lighting arrangements should be improved. The condition of dividers and parks should be improved,” said Gupta.
He appealed to the citizens to cooperate in keeping both cities neat and clean.
He instructed the officials that citizens should be made aware about health and cleanliness by organising Run for Swachhata, Nukkad Natak and Raahgiri programmes.
On the occasion, Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha, DIPR Dr Manoj Kumar, Superintendent Engineer of Municipal Corporation Hemant Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Rajesh Sharma, Harjeet Singh and Sukhwinder Singh were present.
