DC inspects pension verification camp in Sonepat

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manoj Kumar on Wednesday carried out an inspection of the pension verification camp organised in the Municipal Corporation office and gave specific directions to officials.

He said on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, pension verification was being carried out very speedily in the district by organising camps in villages.

He directed officials that a token system should be followed during the pension verification work so that people did not face any problem. He also directed them to behave politely with the pensioners and if any document was missing during checking, then they should be guided properly to submit the same.

He appealed to the pensioners to cooperate with the verification process and assured them that pension of any person would not be cut without any valid reason.

He also visited the district jail and inspected the facilities provided to the inmates and under-trials. Pracheta Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), and Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC) Hardeep Singh, Rajender Singh, Zonal Texation Officer (ZTO) were present during the visit.
