Deputy Commissioner (DC) Parth Gupta recently inspected several roads in Yamunanagar district and directed officials of the Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to make all roads in urban and rural areas pothole-free as soon as possible to facilitate seamless commuting.
Gupta, along with officials of the PWD and NHAI, inspected several roads, including Chhachhrauli road, Lapra road and Kalanaur road.
During the inspection, Gupta said patchwork and divider construction had begun on roads in the district that had been damaged by waterlogging during the rainy season. He said there was a constant risk of accidents due to the damaged roads.
In view of the difficulties of the public, the DC directed officials concerned to complete the patchwork and divider work on these roads as soon as possible to ensure smooth traffic flow and least inconvenience to the public.
