Jind, February 11
Congress Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda urged the BJP government to reconsider its anti-employees policies. Addressing a meeting called by the employees’ union in Jind today, he said that when the Congress government comes to power in Haryana, the employees will get the benefits of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). Hooda added that the Congress government in Rajasthan had implemented OPS for employees, but the BJP government withdrew it as soon as it came to power. He said that if Congress government is formed in Haryana, they will implement OPS by making a law so that no one can change it.
Hooda said that in the last 75 years, the Central and state government employees have played an important role in taking the country forward. “OPS is the rightful demand of the employees. The government should also be responsible for the future security of the employees,” he said.
He said among the total 15 MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from Haryana, as the only Opposition MP and representative of Congress, he had raised the demand of the employees.
