Karnal, August 21
Congress MP Deepender Hooda today launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP on the issues of unemployment, crime and drug abuse in Sonepat. “The BJP has turned Sonepat, which was developed by the Congress as a hub of education, into a hub of unemployment, crime and drug addiction,” Deepender said while addressing a gathering during the party’s ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’ campaign in Gohana Assembly segment in Sonepat district.
He said the people of Haryana have been forced to live with broken roads, overflowing sewers, waterlogging and shortage of electricity and water. Launching a direct attack on the BJP, he asked the ruling party to answer where did the university in Butana go? “What happened to the Girls College? What happened to IMT? What happened to the rice mill? What happened to the drainage of rainwater? Why is there less water in the canals? Why has the problem of water supply not been resolved in every village?” he questioned.
Deepender said the BJP government announced early elections in the state to put a veil of code of conduct on its hollow announcements.
