Delhi win endorsement of Modi govt policies: CM Saini
The historic mandate given by residents of Delhi in favour of the BJP has been an endorsement of the policies and programmes launched by the Modi government and it is set to open the floodgates of development in the national capital.
This was stated by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini while interacting with mediapersons during the hosting of a luncheon on behalf of the state government at the Rajhans Tourist Complex at the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela here today.
Stressing residents of Delhi will now become the beneficiaries of all schemes of the Union Government, he claimed the poll results had exhibited the unrest and anger of the people towards the misrule of the AAP government over the years in the national capital.
Charging the AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal of misleading people regarding the policies of the BJP government at the Centre, he said every attempt to resort to falsehood, including on cleaning of the Yamuna, construction of roads or other development programmes, stood exposed as the people had finally rejected the AAP government. Saini said as people had placed their trust in the policies of the Union Government and PM Narendra Modi, the BJP government in Delhi would unleash a plethora of welfare programmes and schemes which had not been implemented so far.
Regarding the issue of deportation of the illegal migrants from the US, he said his government would ensure strict action against the network that had been involved in sending the youths in an illegal manner. He said the state government was establishing a proper mechanism for the residents seeking employment opportunities abroad to ensure they did not fall prey to any racket or fraud of any kind.
Earlier, the luncheon event witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including several Union and state ministers, MLAs, senior BJP leaders and bureaucrats . It also featured cultural presentations by the artistes and troupes from Ghana, Madhya Pradesh, Russia, Ethiopia, Assam and Kazakhstan.
