As per information, the colony was being developed on 1.8 acres. The owners of the land and the property dealers had failed to get requisite permissions from the department before starting construction.

Kurukshetra District Town Planner (DTP) Vikram Kumar said, “After receiving information regarding an unauthorised colony being developed in the Ladwa area, notices were served to the land owners and property dealers. Following the directions of the Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner, with support from the Police Department, a demolition drive was carried out. During the drive, kutcha roads, damp-proof courses (DPC) and an unauthorised structure were dismantled.”

“People should obtain all information about property from the Town and Country Planning Department before investing their hard-earned money. No one will be allowed to develop such colonies in the district,” he added.
