A team of the department led by District Town Planner (DTP) Rajesh Kumar demolished ‘kutcha’ roads in these colonies spread over about 16 acres. The DTP said that the demolition action was taken with the help of the district administration. He said that as per the orders of Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta, Radaur tehsildar was appointed duty magistrate to maintain law and order.

He further said that SHO, Radaur police station, and the officials of State Enforcement Bureau, Yamunanagar, were present on the spot during the demolition. He added that notices were issued to the defaulters as per the Urban Area Act 8 of 1975.

“The defaulters did not comply with the departmental orders. The land owners did not take necessary permissions before setting up the said colonies,” said DTP Rajesh Kumar.

DC Parth Gupta and DTP Rajesh Kumar appealed to the public that no person should buy or sell any plot in any illegal colony.
