Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief and rape-and-murder convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim returned to Sunaria jail in Rohtak district on Wednesday after the completion of his 21-day parole.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who stayed at the Dera ashram at Barnawa in Uttar Pradesh during the parole period, returned to the prison under tight security this evening.

He is undergoing 20-year imprisonment in connection with the rape of two of his disciples. Later, he was also convicted for the murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
