The Haryana Government has appointed Devender Singh Kalyan, a retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, as the new State Election Commissioner (SEC).
Kalyan succeeds Dhanpat Singh, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. The SEC post, traditionally held by retired IAS officers, will now see an IRS officer at the helm.
