Locals reported that the truck had broken down and was parked on the road without proper warning signs, leading to the collision. SHO Jaibhagwan and his team rushed to the spot after receiving a distress call from passersby. With the help of locals, the injured were rescued from the severely damaged vehicle and rushed to the district hospital for treatment.

“A case has been registered against the truck driver based on a complaint. The injured are currently undergoing treatment in Kaithal, and Gurumukh’s body has been handed over to his family after the postmortem examination,” said SHO Jaibhagwan.

Survivors of the accident recounted how dense fog significantly reduced visibility, contributing to the accident. The impact of the collision was severe, causing many passengers to lose consciousness and adding to the chaos.
