DG, Health, inspects Sirsa District Hospital, announces better facilities
To inspect healthcare facilities, the Director-General DG Health and former CMO of Sirsa, Dr Manish Bansal, inspected Sirsa District Hospital on Sunday. He reviewed various sections, including the de-addiction centre, labour room, special newborn care units (SNCU), trauma centre, and the ICU. He also examined the site where an MRI machine would soon be installed.
Speaking to the media, Bansal announced that MRI services would be made available at the hospital shortly. The machine would be operated on a public-private partnership (PPP) model, providing affordable testing for patients in the district.
During his visit, Bansal interacted with patients and their families at the de-addiction centre, who expressed satisfaction with the quality of care. He directed the PMO to install false ceilings at the centre for better infrastructure.
Bansal emphasised the need to address the shortage of specialist doctors in the district. He said new appointments for dermatologists, radiologists, neurologists, orthopedic specialists, general physicians and surgeons would be made soon.
Accompanied by CMO Dr Mahendra Bhadu, PMO Dr Pawan, and other senior doctors, Dr Bansal also expressed satisfaction with the hospital's special repair work.
Having previously served as Sirsa's CMO, Bansal highlighted the Health Department’s commitment to providing improved medical services in the region.
