Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapur reviews security for January 26 celebrations

The state is tightening security ahead of the Republic Day celebrations. DGP Shatrujeet Kapur held a video conference with ADGPs, IGs, Superintendents of Police and other senior police officials from across the state to examine preparations for maintaining the law and order situation in the state.
Night patrolling
Police officials have been instructed to increase patrolling during night, ensuring swift assistance when required.
Kapur urged the police officials to study all arrangements, leaving no room for negligence. Written directives emanating from the police headquarters have been disseminated to all districts, emphasising heightened security at designated points.
Kapur also stressed on the need to impose a ban on the use of drones and remote-controlled devices by private persons in the state. He called upon police officials to maintain strict surveillance using drones, particularly in areas around Republic Day event venues.
Kapur instructed police officials to increase patrolling during night, ensuring swift assistance when required. He insisted that senior officials should visit various locations to brief police personnel on security arrangements.
Kapur instructed police officials to develop a comprehensive de-addiction plan to fight drug menace. He also emphasised on promoting sports to combat drug addiction, setting a target of involving 10,000 youths in sports in each district.
