In a recent ceremony at the Sirsa Circle Powerhouse, Shyam Lal Khod and Krishan Khoth, employees of the DHBVN, Sirsa were honoured for their heroic actions in saving the lives of a woman and daughter who had fallen into the Rajasthan Canal recently. The event saw participation from employees of various subdivisions in Sirsa.

The ceremony was led by Rajendra Sabharwal, the Superintending Engineer of the Sirsa Circle, along with other officials, including Madan Lal Sukhija, Executive Engineer of Sub Urban, Dheeraj Jhorar, Executive Engineer of the city, Virender Kamboj, Subdivisional Officer of Nathusari, and others. The event also saw the presence of union leaders and electricity staff who came together to recognise the bravery of Shyam Lal and Krishan Khoth.

While addressing the gathering, the Superintending Engineer praised Shyam Lal and Krishan Koth for their courage and announced that their bravery would be formally recognised by the higher authorities. He further assured that he would recommend an additional increment for Shyam Lal to the corporation as recognition for his heroic act.

The employees were honoured with garlands, "Proud of Honour" shields and other gifts.
