Rohtak: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) has introduced two new diploma programmes under the aegis of the newly established Centre of Disability Studies (CDS) from the session 2022-2023. The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) has given approval for the diploma in Indian sign language interpreting (DISLI) and diploma in teaching Indian sign language (DTISL). Admission to these two programmes will be made through the All-India Online Aptitude Test (AIOAT) to be conducted by RCI. The admission process has commenced and July 21 is the last date for applying for these programmes. Both the programmes will have an intake of 30 seats each.

Solar-powered school complex

Nuh: Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar Singh inaugurated solar-powered school complex, digital learning and resource centre at Elementary School, Murad Bas, located in Nuh block. Inaugurating these facilities provided in collaboration with Renew Power and Kayantar Foundation, the DC said the cooperation of NGOs and CSR partners was commendable in the efforts being made by the government to improve the education system.

e-campus placement drive

Hisar: One student of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, has been selected in the e-campus placement drive by the Delhi-based Tata Consultancy Services. Organised by the training and placement cell of the university, Registrar Prof Avnesh Verma informed that Kanika Khurana from MSc economics 2022 passing out batch had been selected by the firm. Prof Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor congratulated the selected student and wished her for a bright future.
