Rohtak District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dharmender Singh has invoked Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita within the radius of 100 metres of all 68 Common Eligibility Test (CET) centres in the district.
Addressing a news conference at Rohtak on Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the district administration had made elaborate arrangements for CET slated to be held by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission on July 26 and 27.
A free-of-cost transport as well as lodging facilities will be provided to the candidates, the Deputy Commissioner said, adding that 728 buses had been arranged to ferry the CET candidates from Rohtak, Madina, Meham, Sampla, Kalanaur and Lakhan Majra bus stands in the district to Gurugram and Faridabad. Apart from Haryana Roadways, buses were requisitioned from private schools as well.
“35 Duty Magistrates/flying squad officers have been appointed and adequate police force will be deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the exam. ADC Narendra Kumar has been appointed as the Nodal Officer for CET and a control room has been set up at Jat College,” said Singh, adding that the concerned subdivisional magistrates will be the overall Duty Magistrates in their areas.
Thirteen dharamshalas /community centres with a total capacity to accommodate 1,300 persons have been identified to lodge the outstation candidates coming to Rohtak district to take the exam.
As many as 148 shuttle buses will be operated on 13 routes from Rajiv Gandhi Sports Stadium to ferry the candidates coming from Bhiwani and Jhajjar to their examination centres.
Special arrangements have also been made to pick 950 candidates with disabilities from their homes in the district. Wheelchairs will also be provided for them at the examination centres.
As per the state government’s decision, free transport facility will be provided to every candidate and one family member accompanying the candidate.
The Deputy Commissioner said 68 examination centres had been set up for the examination in the district, of which 65 examination centres were in Rohtak city and three at Meham.
