Faridabad, June 16

A 50-year-old man committed suicide by hanging in his house in Faridabad's Khori village early on Wednesday morning as he was allegedly under stress due to the impending demolition drive in the area.

Identified as Shri Lal, the deceased was under stress due to a loan of Rs two lakh taken for construction of his house in the colony that is facing demolition shortly.

The Supreme court had ordered the removal of all encroachments on the 172 acres of land designated as Forest area.
