Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda has called upon the people not to renew the ‘licence’ of the BJP for another five years, but to cancel it for forever. He urged them to vote for the Congress to bring it back to power, alleging that the 10-year rule of the BJP had ruined Haryana. He accused the BJP of making the state Number 1 in crime and not being able to tackle unemployment and drug menace.

“Haryana is Number 1 in unemployment and crime. It has even surpassed Punjab in drug menace. The people of Haryana are fed up and are ready for a change. The Congress is going to form the next government,” said Hooda, while addressing a well-attended gathering at Taraori to seek votes in the favour of Congress candidate Dharampal Gonder from Nilokheri Assembly segment.

Taking a dig at the BJP government, Hooda accused them of keeping the public tangled in bureaucratic hurdles like the portal system and adding to their woes by introducing the family ID and property ID schemes.

Rohtak MP also accused the BJP government of not providing jobs to youth. He said, “The youth are being forced to run from pillar to post for jobs and the government has failed miserably in providing permanent employment. Jobs were given only through Kaushal Vikas Nigam or on contractual ways, which do not secure the future of our youth.”

Hooda also highlighted the issue of farmers’ plight and said farmers were harassed during the BJP regime due to anti-farmer policies. “Farmers were forced to stage a dharna on the borders of Delhi for over a year, but this government has failed to address the long-standing issues of the farmers. They are demanding a law ensuring procurement of crops on the MSP,” he said. Hooda also highlighted the issue of arhtiyas and said that this government had forced them to go on strike.

Calling upon people to elect Gonder from Nilokheri, he said this election was to save Haryana.

Rohtak MP also mentioned the distress of the state’s youth, who are being forced to seek employment abroad through risky and illegal “donkey routes”. “The youth have no future under this government. Their hopes have been shattered and instead of jobs, they are getting harassed,” he added.

He also laid emphasis on the Congress party’s election manifesto, which promises 2 lakh jobs. “The Congress manifesto aims at solving the real problems of the people. We will bring employment, revive the state’s economy and ensure justice for the farmers and youth of Haryana,” he said.
