In a major step towards promoting dowry-free marriages, the 25th Agarwal Yuvak-Yuvati Parichay Sammelan was organised on Sunday at Aggarsain Bhawan, Sector 8, by the Agarwal Yuva Sanghathan.

A total of 650 youths applied offline, while 1,000 families registered online to participate in the sammelan. Around 100 families took the first step towards finalising marriage alliances after engaging in discussions. This event, initiated 25 years back, aims to curb extravagant wedding expenses and provide a meaningful platform for youths to find suitable life partners. The initiative has yielded successful results over the years.

Liberty Group MD Shammi Bansal was the chief guest at the event, while Veopar Mandal state president Bajrang Das Garg presided over the function. Newly elected Mayor Renu Bala Gupta welcomed the guests. The dignitaries also unveiled the Agrawal Youth Organisation’s booklet, which featured detailed biodata of all participating young men and women.

Speaking at the event, Bansal emphasised there was no better platform for the community’s youth to choose their life partners. The introduction of young men and women on stage, in the presence of their families, provided valuable insights into their aspirations and thoughts. Mayor Gupta highlighted the importance of instilling strong values in children before focusing on their financial success. She stressed that only people with good moral foundations could shoulder the responsibilities of married life effectively.

Bajrang Das Garg also appreciated the efforts of the Agarwal Yuva Sangathan and its president, Ramesh Jindal, for organising the event. Jindal expressed gratitude to all the attendees for contributing to the success of the event.
