Dr Shiv Rawat honored with 'environment warrior' award for Yamuna conservation efforts

Dr Shiv Singh Rawat, former Superintending Engineer of the Haryana Irrigation Department and Convenor of the Yamuna Bachao Abhiyan, was honored with the “Environment Warrior” award by the Green India Foundation Trust (GIFT), Ballabgarh, on World Water Day.

The award was presented by Padma Shri awardee Uma Shankar Pandey in recognition of Dr Rawat’s outstanding contributions to water conservation and environmental protection.

As part of the event, GIFT organised the “Jal Manthan” programme at Balaji Educational Institute, Ballabgarh, bringing together water conservationists and environmental activists from across the country. Distinguished speakers included IAS officer MR Chauhan, environmentalist Gyanendra Rawat, and experts Jagdish Chaudhary and Shrikrishna Singhal.
