Dress rehearsals for Republic Day in Karnal, Kaithal
Full dress rehearsals for the Republic Day functions were conducted with enthusiasm in Karnal and Kaithal districts, ensuring all arrangements are in place for the celebrations on January 26.
At the Police Lines ground in Karnal, Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh hoisted the flag and inspected the parade. Before the rehearsal, the DC visited the Shaheedi Smarak to pay tribute to the martyrs by offering a floral wreath. Superintendent of Police (SP) Ganga Ram Punia was also present during the occasion.
The DC reviewed the arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations and inspected the preparations at the venue. Singh said Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana would be the chief guest for the Republic Day function. The minister will hoist the National Flag at 9.58 am, inspect the parade and deliver his message. The event will feature a collective mass PT show, followed by a series of cultural performances.
Similar event was organised in Kaithal, where DC Preeti inspected the parade and reviewed the arrangements. She said that Rajya Sabha MP Kiran Choudhary would chair the function of Republic Day in Kaithal.
