Speaking after a pre-Budget consultation meeting in Panchkula, Vij said along with replacing old buses, the government would upgrade and modernise bus stands across the state. “Driving schools will be established in every district and instructions have been given to officers to install automatic washing machine systems and automatic vehicle fitness-checking systems in every district,” he said.

Vij also emphasised the need for improved healthcare services for workers. “Instructions have been issued to set up air-conditioned hospitals for workers in every district so they can receive better health facilities,” he said.

Discussing Haryana’s power infrastructure, Vij directed officials to replace all outdated transformers to prevent frequent breakdowns that cause power disruptions. “Low-power transformers get damaged repeatedly, leading to electricity supply issues. The replacement will be done in a phased manner,” he said. He also instructed officials to replace old electricity wires to improve power distribution.

Highlighting road safety, Vij reiterated the importance of driving schools in every district. “This will help people, especially the youth, understand all driving rules and techniques. Increased awareness will reduce road accidents,” he said.
