A two-day law fest, ‘Juris Fiesta 2025’, organised by the Institute of Law, Kurukshetra University, concluded on Sunday. Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva said the annual fest gives students a platform to showcase their socio-legal skills and basic acumen. Underlining the impact of the event on intellectual development, Prof Sachdeva emphasised the importance of such forums in resolving contemporary legal issues and encouraging critical thinking among students.

The chief guest, Justice Sandeep Moudgil, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, shared his experiences of judicial life and advocacy and bail petitions filed in the court and explained how addiction and drugs had a devastating effect on the future of a common man in the country. He said, “Abuse of alcohol and drugs can be a major obstacle to personal and academic success and can affect the entire

campus’ environment.”

Deputy director of public relations Jimmy Sharma said about 350 students participated in various competitions during the event.
