The DSP had applied for the anticipatory bail which was rejected by the court. The Hisar police had registered a case of illegal possession of two plots of “The Vikas Marg Welfare Society” near Mirzapur Chowk on July 19. The police had also arrested three others — Ram Avtar, Sunil and Surjeet — in this connection. Police sources said the name of the DSP surfaced during the investigation by the SIT, after which the DSP approached the court for anticipatory bail, apprehending his arrest. But, his bail application was rejected by the court.

The sources said recently, the police had also raided the DSP’s house and seized some documents. The sources added that some persons had indulged in illegal encroachment and occupation of two plots in the society of Satbir Singh, resident of Sector 16-17, following which, Satbir Singh had lodged a complaint with the police.
