DSP holds meetings with villagers in Yamunanagar district

Asks them to cooperate with police so that crime could be curbed

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajinder Kumar appealed to the people to cooperate with the police, so that crime could be curbed.

Holding meetings in Devdhar, Araiyan Wala and other villages falling under Pratap Nagar block in Yamunanagar district under rural tour programmes, the DSP said if any anti-social element, suspicious person or vehicle was seen or in any emergency situation, the police should be informed on dial 112.

The meetings were held on Thursday and were attended by sarpanchs, panchayat members and prominent persons.

At the meetings, DSP Rajendra Kumar heard the problems of the villagers and assured them of solving these.

While talking to the common people, he said if the police and the common people worked in coordination, crimes could be controlled.

He appealed to the people to maintain brotherhood and harmony in the village.

He asked the people to inform the police on mobile number 8818001789 if any person in their village consumed drugs or sold drugs.

He said the name of the informer would be kept secret. He further said if any person in the village sold or bought stolen goods, they should immediately inform the police about it. Apart from this, he also made people aware about avoiding cybercrime and asked them to give information about cybercrimes on helpline number 1930.

On the occasion, Gurmel Singh, SHO, Pratap Nagar police station, was also present.
