Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Bedi stated that the BJP government had maintained law and order and ensured that criminal activities would not be tolerated in the state.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Bedi said due to the peaceful environment in the state during the BJP government’s regime in over a decade, new industries were being set up in the state. Bedi claimed that the state government had prioritised health, education and law and order in the state and it was successful in its efforts.
Referring to the incident of a dalit youth’s death in the 12 Quarters locality, in which an FIR has been registered against cops, the minister said the special investigation team (SIT) of the Hisar police had been probing the matter and justice would be done with the victims and no innocent person would be harassed.
Earlier, the minister attended a meeting of the Hisar unit of the BJP at the party’s office. The meeting was chaired by district president Asha Khedar and Krishan Bedi was the special guest.
Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Ranbir Gangwa, former Cabinet Minister Kamal Gupta, MLA Randhir Panihar, former Minister Anoop Dhanak, Hisar Mayor Praveen Popli and several other senior leaders were present at the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Bedi stated that the party’s Sangathan Parv (organisational festival) recently concluded, during which executive committees were formed from the booth level to the district level. He said that it was the priority to familiarise newly appointed office-bearers with the BJP’s policies, principles and ideology.
He said the state government had clear intentions, even the most difficult tasks could be accomplished with ease.
