The team, led by Chief Sanitary Inspector (CSI) Anil Nain, found silt in several drains.
The CSI called the contractor concerned, and asked him to get the drains cleaned immediately.
According to information, Nain, Ward 18 councillor Ujjwal Thakur, Sanitation Inspector Govind Sharma and other officials of the MC reached the Farakpur area to take stock of cleanliness in the village, on the instructions of Mayor Suman Bahamani and MC Commissioner Akhil Pilani. Nain found silt in several drains here.
The CSI also inspected the large drain near the Radaur road and the Jorio naka.
When the team found silt in the drain, the CSI instructed the contractor to get it cleaned immediately using
an earth-moving machine.
The MC team and the councillor, accompanied by area residents, also visited the intermediate pumping station (IPS) near the Jorio naka.
Residents told the team that the station was closed, causing waterlogging in Farakpur, Kuldeep Nagar, Tarapuri, Sasauli, Ram Nagar and surrounding areas during the monsoons.
