Faridabad, August 4
JJP leader and former Deputy CM, Dushyant Chautala, on Sunday attacked the Congress by seeking hisaab
(account) of the alleged irregularities during the Congress regime in Haryana.
Speaking to mediapersons during the ‘Janjagran’ programme in Faridabad and Palwal, Dushyant said that Congress leaders have no right to seek account of other parties’ rule if they are unable to provide the same for the alleged scam of acquisition of the 73,000 acres of farmers during their party’s rule in the state earlier.
Claiming that the JJP would field candidates in all the 90 Assembly segments and contest the Assembly election independently, he said it is hard to talk about the possibility of an alliance at this stage. He, however, claimed that the JJP had been getting huge response from both the rural and urban segments during the ongoing campaign.
He said while the party had been strengthening the organisational structure, the names of the candidates for Assembly elections would be announced at the right time. Dushyant said the state needs a strong and independent government which does not have to depend on the Centre for every decision, pointing at the ruling party. Without naming anyone, he said the JJP tried its best to implement various development programmes during the stint which it got in the past few years.
