Dushyant launches scathing attack on BJP over law & order situation
Raises farmers’ woes, including procurement, crop compensation
Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, former Deputy Chief Minister and JJP leader Dushyant Chautala alleged the law and order situation was deteriorating persistently as the state government had completely failed to rein in rising crime.
“When even police officers are being forced to die by suicide, what will happen to the general populace of the state? Who is responsible for their safety? People do not feel safe in the state. Incidents of robbery and dacoity are creating a sense of insecurity. Chief Minister Nayab Saini has completely failed in his responsibilities,” Dushyant said.
He was addressing a gathering in Baland village here on Friday evening. He also tried to corner the BJP government over the farmers’ issues, including struggle for getting DAP fertilizer and crop compensation.
“Farmers are troubled over the sale of their crops in the mandis, where they are not even getting the proper Minimum Support Price. Flood-affected people have still not received adequate compensation from the government. Paddy is rotting in the mandis due to lack of proper procurement arrangements. Long queues are being seen for DAP fertilizer, which is now affecting the next crop cycle,” Dusyant added.
He said that after the JJP’s foundation day celebrations, the ‘Hari Chunari Chaupal’ programme would be organised across the state, with a strong focus on increasing women’s participation in politics. Besides, the Indian National Students Organisation would also work on connecting female students with the organisation.
Advocate Ajay Indora, district spokesman, said that before the public meeting Dushyant had held detailed discussions with JJP workers of Rohtak district over strengthening the organisation.
