The staff underlined that the dharna was aimed at securing justice, dignity, and fair treatment for employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tejpal, General Secretary of the Dyal Singh College Teachers’ Association, stressed the urgent need for intervention by higher authorities to avoid disruptions in academic functioning. He reiterated their commitment to safeguarding students’ interests but pointed out that staff welfare is equally critical for the effective functioning of the institution.
“Staff members are yet to receive their salaries for July and August, while September has almost ended. We demand immediate disbursal of salaries as the festival season is under way,” said Dr Tejpal.
