“With the efforts of Prime Minister Modi, our country is once again moving towards becoming a ‘Vishva Guru’ (world leader),” he claimed.

He said yoga was being given priority in every village in the state, and everyone should do ‘Surya Namaskar’ daily for 20-25 times.

Dr Jaideep Arya, Chairman, Haryana Yoga Commission, said to promote yoga among school students, 'Surya Namaskar' was being taught in all government and private schools in the state.

The SCERT had already given directions to all schools to make the ‘Surya Namaskar’ campaign a success, he said. The 30-day campaign is dedicated to three personalities.

Dr Arya said over 50 lakh citizens would participate in the programme, adding that the government had declared yoga as a compulsory part of the curriculum. 'Yogasna' had also been included in Asian sports, he said.
