Addressing a press conference here, Kulbhushan Sharma, president of the federation, alleged that private schools had been asked to deposit a fine of Rs 5,000 each, which was against rules and regulations. He said the board was penalising students of those private schools whose teachers had not performed examination duty last year.

He said certain teachers abstained from taking up examination duty last year as they had not been paid honorarium for the purpose in the past.
