The CEO urged the councillors and officials to work in coordination, emphasising that public representatives approach departments with people’s grievances and developmental issues. He stressed that such matters should not remain pending and be resolved on priority, as per rules. During the meeting, approval was granted to forward the budget requirement for the 2026-27 financial year to the government for meeting the ZP expenditure. Out of the 224 works approved in the previous meeting, administrative approval has been granted for 194 developmental works.

The proposals submitted by councillors from Wards 2, 10 and 16 were approved. Besides, consent was given to issue administrative approval through circulation for the annual repair of ZP roads. After the meeting, the councillors expressed their happiness over holding the meeting and for addressing their issues.

During the meeting, the MLAs sought budget for the development works in their areas. The ZP members objected to the demand saying that the MLAs get funds for works through government. The ZP members have limited budget and they cannot share it with MLAs, they added.
