The state government will launch an employment project on a pilot basis in five colleges of the state. The project will be launched in collaboration with the private sector.

Under the project, the unemployed graduate and postgraduate youth will be given training on freelancing platforms such as upworks.com.

Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujar said that in the first phase, graduate and postgraduate students studying in Government Postgraduate College, Sector 1, Panchkula; Pandit Chiranji Lal Sharma Government Postgraduate College, Karnal; Government Postgraduate College, Hisar; Dronacharya Government College, Gurugram; and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government College, Sector 16, Faridabad, will get training.

He said the training would generate self-employment opportunities in selected colleges.
