People had allegedly encroached on land by making platforms, ramps and stairs in front of their houses.

According to information, the MCYJ is constructing streets and drains from Jagdish Bawa’s house to Goyal Atta Chakki and from Hanuman Gate to Valmiki Dwar in Lajpat Nagar at a cost of Rs 46.66 lakh. The officials had instructed the house owners to remove the encroachments in the street themselves, but no action was taken by the house owners.
