A spokesperson for the police department said, "As many as 2,200 police personnel from Gurugram, Palwal and local units will be deployed for the fair. In addition, eight SWAT teams will maintain round-the-clock surveillance to monitor any suspicious activities."

The authorities plan to utilise drones and install 1,500 CCTV cameras at strategic locations across the venue. "Entry will be allowed only after a thorough three-tier scrutiny, starting with vehicle checks around 100 metres from the gates," the spokesperson added. Bomb disposal squads, sniffer dogs, armed personnel and plain-clothed officers, including women police, will be stationed inside and around the premises.

For the first time, two states — Odisha and Madhya Pradesh —will serve as the theme states of the fair. The event will also highlight the culture of BIMSTEC countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand, in collaboration with the North East Handloom and Handicraft Association.

The fairground will feature 1,250 stalls showcasing arts, crafts and culinary delights, with a total of 3,500 participants. "Various commercial organisations are also expected to set up stalls alongside the artisans and craftspersons," an official noted.

With invitations extended to over 45 nations, the fair aims to enhance its international appeal. "More than 35 foreign countries participated last year, and we anticipate a similar response this time," the official added.
