Ensure Cong gets out on zero in MC poll, CM to Radaur voters
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today campaigned for BJP candidate for Radaur Municipal Committee chairman post Rajnish, alias Shalu Mehta, urging voters to support the “triple engine” government by electing BJP’s nominee.
Accompanied by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, the Chief Minister said that the election of civic body was not just about winning seats, but about laying the foundation for a brighter future and ensuring the progress of the entire state.
Addressing party workers and supporters in Radaur town last night, the Chief Minister said that the Congress had been reduced to a mere "tweet party", with its leaders only engaging in irrelevant discussions. Urging people to completely eliminate the Congress from the political landscape, he said, “We have to ensure that the Congress is out on zero.”
He further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision was clear — to make India a developed nation. He targeted former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and accused him of spreading lies during the Delhi election and falsely blaming the people of Haryana. “Kejriwal claimed that Yamuna’s water was contaminated with poison. To prove him wrong, I drank Yamuna water and showed the people of Delhi that he was lying,” said Saini.
Expressing confidence in BJP’s victory in the civic body elections, he assured that development in the region would accelerate threefold. “Our government has a clear plan, policy and intent for the state’s development. Our vision is well-defined and we know the direction we need to take,” he said. Saini criticised previous governments, claiming that before 2014, development was restricted to only a particular region, leading to loss of trust among the youth. However, he stated that the BJP government had restored their confidence.
“We take pride in the fact that upon taking oath as Chief Minister we issued job appointment letters to the youth — a move that was even acknowledged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha,” said Saini. Quoting Modi, he added, “Only a BJP government can provide 25,000 jobs to youth without favoritism or bribes.”
Addressing the gathering, Rana thanked the people of Radaur for voting for the BJP in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and urged them to continue this streak in the MC elections as well. He asserted that Radaur had witnessed unprecedented development under the BJP rule and had now got its due with a Cabinet berth in the Saini government. “This election is for the development of Radaur and the people now have an opportunity to continue unfinished developmental projects,” said Rana.
