Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Rajesh Nagar inspected the Ladwa grain market to check the wheat procurement and issued directions to the market committee officials.
The minister was accompanied by former Minister of State Subhash Sudha and several other BJP leaders.
Nagar inquired about the procurement, moisture content, gate passes and lifting of wheat, and interacted with the farmers and commission agents to get their feedback.
He also issued directions to the officials of procurement agencies and market committee.
He said, “Around 14,000 MT of wheat has been purchased at the Ladwa grain market, of which about 40% stock has been lifted. No major problem has come to the fore after talking to the farmers and the commission agents here. The officials have been instructed to ensure that the farmers and commission agents don’t face any inconvenience. They have also been instructed to ensure timely lifting of the produce and also that the farmers get their payment in time.”
