Entry of street vendors restricted on Rohtak health varsity campus
The authorities at Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences (PGIMS) have restricted the entry of street vendors on its campus stating that they sell unhygienic and unhealthy food, which is harmful for the health of people coming here in and outside the state.
An order in this regard was issued by Vice Chancellor Dr HK Agarwal today while acting on the complaints that the street vendors were playing with the help of patients’ attendants and other visitors by selling unhealthy food on the university campus.
Dr Agarwal along with other officials also inspected the campus and also directed the officials concerned to remove the street vendors outside the medical mode. He also made it clear that if street vendors are found on the campus in future, appropriate action will be taken against the security officials concerned.

...Campus becomes safe haven for drunkards...
The campus of University of Health Sciences (UHS) has also become a safe haven for drunkards. Outsiders use to come here at night to drink openly in a group. A group of five youths created a nuisance at the canteen on the university campus for over an hour on Wednesday night.
They not only drank liquor openly but also played music in their Alto car loudly and danced in an ugly manner under the effect of liquor. The people sitting at the canteen complained to the UHS security personnel in this respect, who rushed to the spot but failed to remove the drunken men from there. Later, a rider of local police reached there and forced them to go away from there. The people have demanded the UHS authorities to ensure proper security arrangement to curb such practice and to deal with such people strictly.
