ESI deployed at Shambhu border dies
Ambala, February 20
Kaushal Kumar, an exemptee sub-inspector (ESI) deployed at the Shambhu border in view of the farmers’ protest, passed away today.
According to the Haryana Police spokesman, Kaushal Kumar (56) fell ill on duty and was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Ambala, where the doctors declared him dead. Kaushal Kumar was stationed under the bridge near the Ghaggar.
A resident of Kanjiwas village in Yamunanagar district, Kumar was posted at Chhappar police station in Yamunanagar.
The spokesman said his sudden demise was an irreparable loss to the Haryana Police. Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapur has expressed condolences on his untimely demise.
Kaushal Kumar is the second police personnel who has died during the agitation. Earlier on February 16, GRP sub-inspector Hira Lal, stationed at the Shambhu Border, had passed away.
