Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi and NITI Aayog’s Additional Mission Director Anand Shekhar were among those who attended the function as special guests. He said the function was held to mark the foundation day of the Navjyoti India Foundation, a group working on water conservation in various parts of the country.
Rawat said he had been active in social work for the past many years. He said he had been working on various issues related to water conservation, environmental protection, fruit plantation, improvement in education, health improvement and women empowerment in Palwal Gurgaon, Mewat and Faridabad.
He has also been the coordinator of ‘Yamuna Bachao Abhiyan’ to create awareness for regarding the preservation and conservation of the water in the region.
