Former Labour and Employment Minister and BJP state spokesperson Krishan Murti Hooda has strongly criticised Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his refusal to share additional potable water with Haryana.

Speaking at a press conference held today, Krishan Murti accused Mann and other AAP leaders of making irrational and politically motivated statements following their defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections.

“The frustration of the AAP leadership is now being directed toward neighbouring states, with Punjab’s Chief Minister using the water issue to stir emotions and deflect attention from his party’s declining popularity. The AAP’s stance on water sharing is not grounded in logic or fairness, but rather aimed at gaining short-term political mileage but the AAP leader will not succeed in it,” said Krishan Murti.

He claimed that just as the people of Delhi had seen through the AAP’s tactics and voted them out, the voters of Punjab were also becoming increasingly aware of the party’s real intentions. The backlash against AAP’s governance in Punjab was growing and the AAP would face a similar rejection in the next Assembly elections in Punjab as well, he added.

Krishan Murti also targeted former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his MP son Deepender Hooda, alleging that both had failed to raise the significant issues of their respective constituencies in the state Assembly and Lok Sabha.
