Bollywood actor and former MP Raj Babbar and Rajasthan’s Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully reached Rewari city last evening and appealed to the people to vote for Congress candidate Chiranjeev Rao in the Assembly elections.

“Chiranjeev romped home during the 2019 Assembly polls when the conditions were not favourable for the Congress but this time, there is a wave in favour of the Congress party and people want change in the state, so ensure the victory of Chiranjeev with a huge margin to pave the way for his elevation to a big post like Cabinet minister or Deputy Chief Minister,” said Babbar while addressing the poll meeting.

He said the BJP government did not leave any section of society without harassment in the past decade. It failed to maintain law and order, give employment and to work for the welfare of farmers and other sections of the society, hence people are fed up with it and want to bring the Congress back to power, he added.

Jully, while speaking on the occasion, said the BJP had changed the Chief Minister and cabinet ministers in the state but this would not work as the people had made up their mind to oust the BJP from power.

“Young voters will give a befitting reply to the BJP government in the elections as it has made the state Number 1 in unemployment and crime. It snatched their permanent employment by rolling out the Agniveer scheme. The BJP also committed atrocities against the farmers during their movement, hence they will take revenge from it through their voting rights,” he claimed.

Jully accused the BJP of misleading the people by creating a false narrative. He said bringing the Congress into power was the need of the hour for the protection of the Constitution.
