Prof Ved Prakash, former Chairperson of the University Grant Commission has said, “Discipline and hard work are the supreme mantra for success in life.” He was addressing students during ‘Diksharambh Utsav’ in Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) here.
The event started with the chanting of Shiva Sankalp Sukta from Yajurveda. Welcoming the newly admitted students, Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajbir Singh said, “Come for education and go for service is the mantra of the university.”

Kanta Singh, national representative, UN Women India, who was guest of honour, inspired the students to develop the habit of lifelong learning and adopt a scientific outlook. She called upon the youth to stand united to fight violence against women.
